Glossary
The language of the diagnostic, defined.
Every term used across this site, in plain words: the two readings, The Lens, the four bands, the eight capabilities and the frameworks underneath them.
The method
- Outside-In Read
- The RepAgentic Outside-In Read is a read of a company's go-to-market built only from public evidence: website and value story, LinkedIn presence, visible demand signals, commercial org structure, hiring and competitor positioning. It produces the free Executive Brief, or the Greenfield Brief when there is no prospecting team yet.
- Inside-Out Verification
- The paid second reading. Two written rounds, backed by documents you already have, with a third only if an answer needs checking. Every outside finding is marked confirmed, changed or overturned, and the result is a dated Verified Plan your team can run.
- The Lens
- The Lens is where the two readings meet. Every outside finding is marked confirmed, changed or overturned against your own evidence, and the Verified Plan is built only on what your evidence supports.
- Executive Brief
- The free four-page executive summary produced by the Outside-In Read: maturity band, evidence range, visible gaps and the first area to fix. Typically returned within one business day.
- Greenfield Brief
- The free four-page brief produced by the Outside-In Read when there is no sales seat yet: routes to revenue, what a first seat would cost and return, and what to check first. It stands in place of the Executive Brief for companies building their first new-business seat.
- Evidence range
- The range a band can be stated within given what public evidence can and cannot show: for example a span of 42 to 58%. It keeps the brief honest about what is proven, what is inferred and what cannot be seen from outside.
- Capability
- One of the eight capabilities the go-to-market passes through. Each one either passes work forward intact or degrades it. Your maturity band is set by your overall score across the eight capabilities, and the weakest one is what most likely blocks growth.
The maturity scale
- Rebuild (0 to 40%)
- The motion runs on individual effort and whatever lives in heads. Results depend on individuals rather than a system.
- Repair (41 to 60%)
- The parts exist but do not connect. Repair carries the largest upside of any band.
- Optimise (61 to 80%)
- The motion runs and is measured: every rep runs the same defined process and message, conversion is measured at every stage, and the forecast is built on measured conversion rather than opinion.
- Scale (81 to 100%)
- The system is repeatable and teachable. New people reach productivity predictably and performance holds without the founder or CRO carrying it.
The eight capabilities
- Market Reality
- Who the market actually is, which segments genuinely buy, and whether the company is targeting where demand exists rather than where it hopes demand exists.
- Revenue Plan
- Whether the number is built from measured conversion, coverage and capacity, or set top-down and reverse-engineered afterwards.
- Team Design
- Roles, ratios, ownership and spans: whether the shape of the commercial team matches the motion it is being asked to run.
- Value Story
- Whether the reason to change is stated in the buyer's terms, consistently, by every rep, and whether it survives contact with a competitor.
- Motions
- The defined plays for finding, qualifying, progressing and winning business, and whether they are actually run the same way twice.
- Rep Readiness
- Whether individual reps are enabled, trained and coached to execute the motion, and how quickly a new hire reaches productivity.
- Systems and Data
- Whether the CRM and tooling record what actually happened accurately enough to make decisions on.
- Metrics
- Whether the measures in use reflect the work that produces revenue, are trusted by leadership, and drive action rather than reporting.
Terms we use
- Revenue lifecycle
- Reading revenue end to end: acquisition, onboarding, adoption, retention and expansion, rather than stopping at closed-won. It is why the diagnostic reads the go-to-market as connected stages rather than isolated functions.
- Critical Event
- The dated reason a decision cannot wait: for most companies, the next annual planning cycle. Commit the step before it and the upside becomes next year's number; miss it and the revenue, productivity and velocity gaps carry into another year.
- Rational and emotional impact
- The two halves of consequence. Rational impact is measurable: pipeline and revenue growth, productivity per rep, pipeline velocity. Emotional impact is personal: being accountable for another year of underperformance after the evidence showed a better path.
- GTM systems thinking
- Reading go-to-market performance as the behaviour of a whole system, not the work of the last team that touched the deal. It asks where the constraint sits, what it starves downstream, and what actually changes if you fix it.
The engagement
- Take the Plan
- Keep the diagnostic, the maturity orientation and the defined plan, and execute it with your own team. No obligation to continue. There is a check-in on the plan's first milestone date and a review every 90 days that your team runs, with Jeremy joining free for up to 60 minutes.
- GTM Build Pack
- Workshop decks, workbooks and guides set up for your account, with drafts and three options for each decision. Your team runs it; RepAgentic prepares it. From AUD 5,000, excl. GST, fixed to scope.
- Build Mandate
- RepAgentic leads the defined build while your team executes. 4, 6 or 8 days a month at AUD 8,000 to 16,000 a month, excl. GST, minimum three months, with the same review cadence. Offered by capacity, each mandate is led personally, so availability is confirmed after the Inside-Out Verification.
- Advisory Seat
- Fractional judgement and rhythm on decisions you already own. AUD 2,000 to 6,000 a month, excl. GST, minimum three months, with a 90-day continue, change or stop review. It can also support a founder-led first seat when the Verified Plan chooses that route.
- Agentic SDR
- The direction of RepAgentic OS: an account development motion where AI agents carry defined work across every channel under human accountability. It is built from the same Outside-In and Inside-Out diagnostic, not bolted on top of an undefined motion.
